How Time Gets Away From Us

As we have heard, “time does not wait on anybody”.  I guess that is why we must be purposeful in all we do.  Time RunningDon’t forget the small things and look at the small things as if they are big.  When our spouse takes the initiative to do something different and it surprises us, we may sometimes overlook being grateful.  Even if it is not the most exciting thing, we should portray it as if it is.  We all like to be built up.  We all want to feel appreciated.  After all, they probably put some thought into it and felt it would put a smile on your face.

Of course this is the time of year everyone is giving added thanks, but a marriage is always giving.  It may even seem as if one is doing more than the other.  We look for the 50/50 balance in our marriage, but it is not going to happen.  One is always giving more one day and the other maybe the next day.   If we look for it to be a complete balance, we will not be happy.  We even feel that we give, give, give and don’t get anything in return at times.  Being the Christian you are –  keep at it.  It will rub off.  Keep smiling, keep laughing. After all Paul said in Act 26:2 “I think myself happy”,  I love the beginning of that scripture.  It tells me I have a choice.  Don’t let time slip thru your marriage and you sit wondering what happened!
